This comprehensive 2-day aesthetic medical training course provides participants with certification for BOTOX® & DERMAL FILLERS. Program Objectives: DAY 1:
Part 1 - Botox

- Discuss the history of botulinum toxin
- Review the etiology of the aging face
- Discuss the pharmacology & physiology of botulinum toxin
- Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of facial anatomy and physiology as it applies to facial aesthetics
- Learn about proper storage, safety, handling, and reconstitution of BOTOX® Cosmetic
- Describe the cosmetic indications and contraindications of BOTOX® Cosmetic
- Learn the indications and injection techniques applied to the upper face, including treatment of the glabellar ‘frown' lines, horizontal forehead lines, crow's feet, bunny lines, brow lift, and facial asymmetries
- Discuss possible complications in the upper face and how to effectively prevent and/or handle them
- Learn the indications and injection techniques applied to the lower face and neck, including treatment of the perioral rhytides, lip treatments and lip lengthening, nasolabial folds, labiomental creases, softening of the chin, smile asymmetries, and neck rejuvenation
- Discuss possible complications in the lower face and neck, and how to effectively prevent and/or handle them
- Discuss adjunctive treatments, including dermal fillers, chemical peels, microdermabrasion and cosmetic lasers, and light based systems
- Review the use of BOTOX® Cosmetic in the treatment of hyperhidrosis and pain management
- Learn how to effectively select your BOTOX® Cosmetic client and educate him/her

Part 2 – Dermal Fillers:
- Address the growing US market for aesthetic procedures, in particular injectable dermal fillers, and how you may capitalize on this demand.
- Discuss the history of dermal fillers.
- Review the etiology of the aging face.
- Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of facial anatomy and physiology as it applies to facial aesthetics.
- Discuss various types of dermal fillers: temporary fillers, semi-permanent and permanent fillers.
- Discuss the filler materials: Collagen products (Zyderm, Zyplast, Cosmoderm, Cosmoplast, Evolence), hyaluronic acid products (Juvederm, Restylane, Perlane, Captique, Hylaform and others), calcium hydroxyapatite products (Radiesse), polymethylmethacrylate (Artefill) products, and synthetic products (Cellulose, BioAlcamid, Bioinblue)
- Discuss fillers working by fibroplasias: Artefill, Radiesse, Silicone and Poly-L-Lactic acid.
- Learn about necessary supplies, proper storage, safety, and handling of dermal fillers.
- Describe the cosmetic indications and contraindications of the various dermal fillers.
- Learn the basic indications and different injection techniques applied to the face, including treatment of the nasolabial and labiomental folds and lip augmentation.
- Learn more advanced indications and injection techniques applied to the face, including treatment of peri-orbital rhytides, glabellar complex, augmentation of cheek, chin, suborbital, jawline and lateral face, and scars.
